I keep my Fridays OPEN during the summer. One, to accommodate any "work" overflow, but also so we can do something fun, if we want. Sometimes that's golfing with my husband, or grabbing the kids from school early and going to the pool. It also gives me large chunks of time to clean up any overflow from the week, so that I can enjoy the weekend without thinking about work.
I live in seasonal rhythms. Summer is a time of casual relaxation, pool time, being outside and memory building. We live fully into summer's vibe by keeping our schedule loosely blocked and focusing on weekly goals over scheduled activities.

Summer is packed FULL of invitations to backyard BBQs, pool dates, and lake weekends. It's easy to feel like you need to say YES to every invitation. It's okay to put yourself first - if you just want a relaxing weekend at home to relax and recharge ... take it. - Jessica Kroll, Be in the Room
Summer isn't just meant for kids to enjoy their time away from school. It's YOUR time, too! Make the most of it by keeping a schedule to help you stay on task while balancing all the fun activities summer brings. Just remember... it's okay if it's a loose schedule. Take a deep breath - now relax and enjoy your summer.
